Turkey has the lowest percentage of car use overall, in 2001 the larger part of rides were made with bus or with car. Turkey, like Germany has the highest population within the compared countries and has therefore a strong impact.

Nevertheless, the trend shows a significant growth in the car use. This trend may eventually increase in the future due to the development of Turkey‘s Automotive Industry and general wellness.
